We sailed MSC Divina from Miami. We booked before doing any research here based on the price. After booking I began to read through the reviews here and on other sites. To be honest I thought we had made a big mistake. How wrong that was !! We found the ship beautiful, clean and like new. Our balcony cabin was perfect. We ate in the MDR all 7 nights and enjoyed everything offered. We had 6 others at our table. There was some grumbling about a few things, coffee service mainly. The steaks were thin but I didn't see any sent back. My wife and I had fish, veal and pasta dishes that were fine. We typically had room service in the AM for breakfast and found it always on time. It became a running joke to see what actually made it to the room. I don't think we ever received what was indicated on the card, but that was OK. One night we marked all of the boxes just to see what would happen and we got about half of the items, yogurt, muffins, coffee and tea.

We ate in the buffet at lunch most days and were satisfied. One day they served whole roasted turkey, another pork roast, beef and chicken. They always had pasta, pizza, fruit and salad bar. The salad bar was not what we were used to, but OK. There are 4 free Ice Cream machines operating in the afternoon by the main pool. The only show we attended was the Italian opera revue, which was excellent. The show venue was perfect, No big posts to obstruct the view. The 2 opera performers were first rate. We don't bingo, however I will say it was conducted by the main pool, haven't seen that before. We did find it hard to get a pair of chairs on sea days, that's the norm. We never found chairs near the rear infinity pool. My wife even went at 7:30 one morning to towel and book 2 together and found none open. We always found a place off the beaten track. We purchased a 7 bottle wine package and 15 drink coupon book prior to sailing that was plenty for us. Rum Runners worked. We spent some time in the casino and it being non smoking was good. This was our 25th cruise. We have sailed Europe, Caribbean and Mexico on all the other major lines. While MSC does things different from the others we had a pleasant relaxing week off. We would sail with MSC again without any reservations.
