This was our cruise of a lifetime. It was the first Norwegian cruise (we have cruised Celebrity, RCCI and Carnival).

Positives: The itinerary was great. We boarded in Seattle and embarking went very smooth. The weather was great at all port stops. All excursions were also great and memorable; Bering Sea Crab Boat in Ketchikan, and White Pass Rail and Suspension Bridge in Skagway. I would recommend all. We then left Vancouver for the West Coast segment (also great) which ended in LA, where we then headed for the Panama Canal. We had perfect weather with the exception of 1 day (1 in 28 - perfect).

Our experience on the Jewel was also very good. The staff was great, entertainment was great, activites were good. I really appreciated that there was always live entertainment, even at sail-away (I missed this on other cruises). Exiting and re-boarding at each port was smooth and quick.

Room was nice although a bit small. Bathroom was well designed but tiny. We did have some constant engine "hum" which was more noticeable at night and did affect sleeping.l I would probably choose a different location in future. The advantage of the location though was the proximity to O'Sheehan's where we spent a lot of time.
