PreDeparture: We (2 adults - no kids) flew into FLL the night before the cruise and stayed at the Hampton Inn North Cruiseport. The free hotel shuttle picked us up for the quick ride to the hotel. Check-in was quick and the room was perfect for a 1 night stay. There is a grocery store and several places to eat next to this hotel and they run a shuttle service to the cruiseport for $6/person. Overall great service and shuttle to the port went well.

Embarkation: Very fast, since we were in a JS we had a special line, but the regular line looked be moving quickly, it was extremely painless. Once on board we got in the short line to purchase our drink package and went to the Schooner bar for drinks, the R bar located on Deck 4 where we got on and bought our drink package was crowded - I recommend going to another bar to get faster service. The Windjammer was open for lunch but we had a few drinks instead of going right to eat. They announced cabins were ready around 1p.m. and we dropped off our carry ons before heading out to find some food. I believe the baggage left with the porters showed up around 4p.m.

The Ship: The Vision is a nice ship, she's small enough that its easy to find your way around but not so small it ever felt too crowded, even on sea days by the pool and in the other public venues. The ship was very clean and appeared to be well maintained. The A/C worked great inside the cabin and in the common areas. The centrum is beautiful and always has some sort of live music or other entertainment going on. She has many dining and drink options available. We didn't use the spa but the work out facility was well outfitted.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Very spacious room with a king bed and a large sitting area. Lots of storage and huge balcony. The bathroom has a full sized tub with a shower. The A/C worked well. One side of the bed was a bit uncomfortable and probably needs a new mattress in my opinion but it wasn't bad enough for me to complain and it didn't keep me from sleeping. Noise - a couple of nights we got some loud bumps and bangs from above. It was never continuous and didn't happen everynight. This room appears to be located under part of the Park Cafe and the hallway to the side of it. Overall I'd say it was pretty quiet and could stay in this cabin again, however if I could I'd go back a little further aft and to the opposite side of the ship.
