The service staff is very well trained, helpful and pleasant. The food is good and everything is clean, but the ship is showing it's age. There is a lack of amenities and almost no on-board activities, probably due to a lackadaisical CD who was no where to be found. The entertainment was dismal with the two poorest quality production shows we have seen on our 70 plus cruises. There is not ample seating in the theatre and many passengers sat on the steps or stood, but many walked out on the productions shows and that cleared some seats. The comedian was excellent and the magician was adequate. This apparently lazy or disinterested CD needs to revamp his entire operation as these entertainment/activity failures scar the more positive aspects of this ship. The dancers were NEVER in sync and seemed not to care.

The dining rooms are almost claustrophobic with VERY LOW ceilings. The DR is seldom open for lunch. The pizza counter serves good, hot pizza but the hamburgers served in the pool area are less than 3 ounces each. The buffet is antiquated old style and is cramped, hard to maneuver and limited but the food is good and the area is kept clean and neat. Room Service was very good with more menu selections that one normally sees. The High Tea was well executed with many wonderful food selections.

The rooms are very small; our mini-suite was nice with lots of storage but much smaller than that found on almost every other cruise line. The beds were comfortable.
