I was full of hope after the PNG trip 3 weeks previous on same ship, but unfortunately trip ended disappointingly.

Major problem was we didn't get ashore at Norfolk Island, which in a way highlights the major problems of cruising to ports and assuming you will get to see them.

It wasn't the fault of P&O, it was just too choppy and dangerous to tender. Over 90% of the passengers were only on the trip to see Norfolk Island so you can imagine the disappointment on board, plus we all felt sorry for the people of Norfolk who missed out on a huge financial windfall ( apparently the island is going broke ).

Cabin Review

Cabin grade M

Cabin had problems.TV didn't work first two nights Fridge didn't work for first week - then replaced with nice new one.Air Conditioning biggest problem. First was noisy when selecting warm, then was too cold, then too hot when level 6 units tripped , then too cold again - like a fridge one night.Staff did attend and sort of fixed, but no spare motor pump available till Sydney, but they did try so give them credit for that. Seems best approach is to go directly to reception and bypass cabin steward if you want some action.
