I sailed the Carnival Paradise on October 13, 2014 for the five night sailing to Cozemuel, and Grand Cayman... Have been on this ship quite often when it use to sail out of the POM... Check In was a breeze...the cruise terminal in Tampa is quite nice to sail out of... I boarded the ship by 12:30 in the afternoon, and being as i was a platitum member, i was able to go to the room to drop off my carry on luggage. From there i went up to the buffet to have lunch, and then walked around to see the rest of the ship.... I have to say that the Carnival Paradise does looked quite tired and needs touch up in quite a few areas... Definitely the rooms needs sprucing up, as well as some of the lounges, the pool area... In the aft pool area, it needs definitely a makeover. I had went up there, to find a big rope at the bottom of the pool, and all dead bugs in the water. The jacuzzi was ice cold, and the only area that was pretty clean and water warm, was the kiddie pool... Believe that turned me off. The Main Pool instead of the water being blue, it was green... The kids took over the entire pool and jacuzzis....Really and truthfully it was not enjoyable being either in the water or the jacuzzi...until we hit the ports of call... that is when you really can enjoy both the jacuzzis and pool...

As far as the food, I have to say it was very good...alot of different choices from the menu...I really enjoyed the sea brunch at seadays.....being as i was a platium member I got a choice of a free drink which was nice...and the menu at the sea brunch was from omlettes, french toast, steak and eggs, eggs benedict etc... The dining room experience was quite nice.... the waiters still dance around... service in the dining room was fast, and the food came out nice and hot...

The shows were excellent.... and so was the Punchliner Comedy shows.... all in all i had a nice time on the ship.... would i sail the paradise again? Once she gets a makeover, yes i would sail her....but for a quick getaway, it was a very pleasant experience.

Cabin Review

Interior

Cabin 4C

M298 was a handicapped cabin, as i sailed with two other ladies that were handicapped...for a handicapped cabin, it was very small... actually the entire room had to be rearranged...as the two ladies had scooters, and it was a challenge to get the scooters in the room...so the cabin steward had to rearrange the beds...I myself slept on the top bunk.... The only part of the room that was pretty large was the bathroom....There was not enough closet space for three people.... I do beleive at one time this particular cabin was a regular cabin at one time...As the door was not the same color blue as the other cabin doors...it was painted red.... The cabin definitely needed a sprucing up ...
