MSC Divina is a beautiful ship and is probably one of the cleanest you will have ever sailed on. All areas of the ship were clean and pristine. Even the Swarovski Crystal Stairs in the Main Atrium sparkled. Each step supposedly is valued at $30,000 per step. It was an unique experience to actually walk on steps with Swarovski Crystals ( since I usually choose to wear them. )

The Entertainment was by far the Best, I have ever seen on any Cruise Ship Line. I believe the auditorium held 1,200 people. Shows were extraordinary. One theme was " Wonderland" which was loosely based on "Alice in Wonderland", then there was a Michael Jackson Tribute (with a fabulous dancer from Dominican Republic.) Of course, there was an imaginative "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme with that wonderful music. Another theme was a Cabaret based show. Then there was a Matinee based loosely on a Divina adapted opera. The Entertainment was SPECTACULAR. (Usually on a cruise ship, I will skip the night with a comedian or a ventriloquist or magician.) MSC Divina GOT it perfect with entertainment. Even when you waited for a show to begin, they have a pre-show going on and into the audience. Actors and singers did not stay on the main stage, they came out into the audience.

As far as food goes, Divina should "step it up a notch". Breakfast and lunch buffet was served on Melamine plates. Why would a ship as "Divine" as this one, use Melamine plates?? Also lunch buffet was composed of lots of pasta dishes and lots of pizza. Of course, you could have hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries or sandwiches. There were salads and fruits, but as far as a variety of "hot serving items", there was Not. They did have a carving station, but not lots of hot vegetables or side dishes. We did learn that the "children's area" of the buffet line had mashed potatoes and choices of vegetables and hot chicken or fish. The sign said the "children's area" was only to be used by people of a certain age group. (When I am on a cruise, I want to have other chef's cook for me because I do it all the time at home.) Dinner was another story. One night they had a fabulous Rack of Lamb with a wonderful sauce. It was excellent. Another night was a fish in a parchment paper which was equal in excellent.
