About me - I'm 43, travelling on my own. This was my 11th cruise, but my first with Royal Caribbean and first in the Caribbean. I go on holiday to have a good time and be entertained, and don't really look for faults, so often don't notice them. I had flown to Orlando with Virgin and spent 2 nights there in the Caribe Royal hotel, which was very nice. However I later planned to go to Universal Studios (fabulous) and would pick a hotel closer to there in future.
First impressions - WOW. The ship was much nicer than I was expecting. The Royal Promenade is fantastic, with lots to do. There was also a good age mix on the ship, so for once I wasn't one of the youngest!
Cabin - I had inside cabin #6707 at the back of the ship. It had a little wear and tear, but nothing to worry about. The stateroom attendant (Rey) kept it nice and tidy. The only slight downside at the back of the ship was that I noticed the engine vibration coming into port some mornings - but that's not a big deal. Deck 6 was handy for walking down to the MDR on 5, or up to Windjammer on 11.
Ideal cabin for one. Had the bed set as a double bed. The cabin had a little wear and tear, but nothing to bother me. The stateroom attendant (Rey) kept everything nice and tidy. The only slight downside was being at the back of the ship you could feel vibration coming into port in a morning, even on deck 6. It wasn't a major issue though. Deck 6 was handy for walking down to the MDR on deck 5, or up to the Windjammer on deck 11.
