We sailed on the Celebrity Reflection in October 2014. It was an amazing cruise.
We had Select Dining and ate in the Main Dining Room every night..sometimes we shared a table and other times we ate by ourselves. It was a nice balance for us. We did not pay any extra for the specialty restaurants...we felt the food in the MDR was excellent and there was no need to go anywhere else. You always had a choice on the menu..the right side of the menu changed every night and the left side stayed the same. So you always had a choice from at least 6 appetizers, entrees and desserts..even vegetarian dishes for those who wanted it! We only experienced slow service one night..and that was because we had been in port all day and everyone seemed to be eating at the same time as us. Other than that, service was always impeccable and prompt. We received the Classic Beverage Package as part of the 123Go promotion, and it was great! The choices of wine were great and my husband was pleased he could drink Heineken beer. Around the pool we drank a cold beer and I tried some speciality drinks which were included in our drink package ($8). We saw no need to upgrade to the Premium package as we don't drink martinis, and any speciality teas and coffees we wanted were included in the Classic package.
The rest of the time we ate in the Oceanview Cafe (buffet) which always had an amazing selection of salads, fresh fruits, hot meals both for breakfast and lunch. The personalized egg stations are great..you can get omelettes, poached, fried, scrambled eggs with your choice of toppings.
First, the ship is beautiful. Our cabin was on Deck 6, centre of ship. It was a great location except we wish now we had paid a little bit extra and not had a slightly obstructed balcony. The life boats are basically at eye level, and appear in most of the pictures I took from the ship. Not worth the savings in my opinion! Cabins are beautiful and use every bit of space. Very comfortable for a couple.
