Months before our cruise was due, I spent a long time reading reviews here on NCL and The Pearl.
The reviews were VERY mixed, from one to the other extreme. The negative ones were concerned mostly with the food and the buffets on board. We were quite concerned that this will have a negative aspect on our cruise. There were other complaints like the size of the bathrooms in the cabins and lack of room when 4 are sleeping together.
Well, I am a fussy and critical 60 year old. I even fuss about the BBC's News presentation.

Mid-Ship Balcony
My wife and I had a BA (Cabin with balcony) and loved it. Plenty of room to hang your clothes and great and comfy bed. Bathroom certainly big enough for one at the time.The Cabin Crew (male) was absolutely fantastic, helpful, cheerful and very good with towel animals every morning!
