Shower is very small, when the sofa bed is pulled out there is no room to step around it you have to step over it, noise was not an issue, it is above the Pub/Casino on deck 6 , but did not here any noise. The lifeboats are on the deck below and there is a roof/cover over the top of them so you can see directly below but the view from the balcony is fine, it also has a slightly bigger balcony as it wraps around a bend

All 3 ships had similar layouts, one issue we had with RCI was trying to get a lift from floor 7 to the MDR for our 6pm setting, it was impossible they were always full and we had to walk to the MDR every night which is not that much of an issue but was for the people with walking frames/wheelchairs.2012 Holland America Zuderdum Alsaka

Holland America excellent took about 30mins
Carnival also excellent about 40mins
Royal Carribean not so good lined up in a hot tent of about 300 people took about 40mins to get to the front only to findout that there was another even longer line inside the passanger terminal took about 90mins in the heat standing all the time.
