We have cruised two times prior to this with Norweigan so we don't have lots of experience, but it's always good to compare. The embarkation at the port went very smoothly. The lines moved quickly and we were on the ship in no time. We went right up to the pool area to get a chair before it became too crowded. The adult pool was very nicely set up and set away from the children's area. Loved the overhanging hot tubs and gave them a try before it got too crowded. We loved the set up of the ship and found little secluded spots to get away from the crowd. Not that it felt crowded my any means, the traffic flow really was good on the ship.

We had three dinners planned at the specialty restaurants, surprising with a ship of its size there were only two. Chops was a bit of a disappointment. The beet salad was awesome and the shrimp cocktail was delicious, but the steak was rather tasteless and we had to send it back because it was over cooked (both of them.) We could have both passed on desserts, they were nothing special. Portofino's, on the other hand was quite good, and we have eaten Italian at some really special places. The feel for the restaurant was much better as well. Dinner was great, dessert lacking again. The second time at Chops we thought might be better and that we just had a bad experience the first time. Second time, the steaks were dry and tasteless. The sides were adequate but not worth the cost. Disappointing.

We had my time dining and were not very impressed with any of the meals in Leonardo's. It was food, but didn't wow us in any way. We even tried breakfast in the dining room, but that wasn't much better, although you could get a freshly cooked omelet. The French toast didn't even seem like bread, it was just a think dense piece of soggy baked bread. The food didn't compare to Norweigan. The buffet was not restocked often enough and it seemed old, especially was the week went on. Johnny Rockets was good,as it normally is and the desserts in the coffee shop were delicious. The pizza wasn't really worth it either. The cupcakes were delicious though at the cupcake shop. The ship does have good coffee throughout. Breakfast room service wasn't great either. We did try a variety of dining options.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E2

Our room was amazing. We had two chairs and two lounge chairs on our balcony and Amelia, our attendant was the sweetest and nicest one yet. We saw her all the time and she was so helpful when we needed her
