Starting on a positive note....snorkel shore excursion (and staff) was AMAZING and the highlight of the trip!

First extended family cruise aboard the Freedom was very disappointing. Getting on the ship took longer than twice on the mega Oasis of the Seas, and disembarking was HORRIBLE! Two-hour long lines getting off the ship caused us to miss our pre-arranged airport shuttle, and almost miss our flight home. In port, the ship is parked very far away from the end of the dock and many in our group weren't physically able to make the walk to participate in off-ship activities (due to distance and heat). The quality of service in the dining areas was lacking, as well as the food quality. Many of the ship staff (bars, guest services, shops) had a callous attitude--and never followed through on services they offered. They did not have the positive and helpful attitude which I am accustomed to from RCI. I would not recommend this ship to those who are bothered by smoke either, as it is not confined enough. Was much more impressed with Liberty and Oasis. Disappointed by a not-so-"Royal" Caribbean experience.

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

Our room was connected to another stateroom and we could hear the television and their coughing as if it was in our own room. Unless you're a late-nigher who enjoys the loud parties on the promenade, you may want to avoid these (AND adjoining) rooms.
