This was a fairly last minute cruise for me and my brother (61/59). I mostly sail Celebrity, and mostly Solstice Class. This was my second time on the Summit - the first being a Bermuda cruise in June. Even though I prefer the Solstice class, I have enjoyed my two cruises on the Summit very much.
Positives for this cruise:
(1) Select Dining waiter, Billy (and his assistant, Fabian), were fabulous. Many people waited to be seated in his section. If you have Select Dining you really, really want to ask for Billy's section. Impeccable manners, attention to detail and personal attention are worth the wait.
Chose this cabin based on info on CC. I had never been in an ov or an inside before, so wasn't sure how I would like it. No worries - the cabin was great! I loved the large window and being closed to the water. The room was a little smaller than a veranda, but it really was just fine. There was what I would call a medium "hum" from the engines (I think), but after the first night, I didn't notice it at all. Kinda acted like a sound machine.
