My husband and I chose this cruise because of the port in Belize. We are interested in checking out that area. We decided to get a balcony room since we didn't know if we would cruise again. We loved it. We liked the more casual dining options of Norwegian. Every night was a new themed food night at the buffet and was done very well. The two restaurants that come with your cruise were good, also, although we thought there could have been a little more variety from night to night. There are a lot of specialty restaurants available for an extra charge, but we felt that the food that was included was so good, we did not feel the need. The entertainment that was included with the cruise was fun and entertaining. Our shore excursions were good - a little spendy, we thought, but comparable to other cruise lines. In an effort to maintain safety for the cruisers, they have a touristy area that is cordoned off from the rest of the town in both Belize and Trujillo, Honduras. It would have been nice to have the availability of a tour guide who would just walk you around the local area.

The room is compact but the king size bed was surprisingly comfortable and the storage space worked for us. The bathroom was also very compact but the shower was actually bigger than we were expecting. We were pleasantly surprised at the quietness of the room. The toilets flush very loudly and we only heard that from adjoining rooms twice. We were on Deck 8 toward the front of the ship and we were under the nightclub. A couple of nights when we went to bed early we could barely hear the music. We loved the balcony. It was private, although we did hear our neighbors when they were on their balcony, and it kept the wind from hitting us so it got toasty, which we wanted.
