Sail Date: Nov 2014

Cabin was not ready on our arrival. No hand towels or wash towels. Soap dispenser in sink did not work. TV remote did not function.

The porter had fixed the soap dispenser while we were at dinner. After spending an hour calling, being put on hold and then being disconnected, we finally reached someone with guest services. On advising them of the above listed problems and requesting that the issues be corrected in the morning, we went to bed. At 2 AM we were awoken by knocking on the door. Seems the porter decided it would be a good time to bring us hand and wash towels. We told him to return in morning. It was the following evening before he returned with the missing towels. We never did get the TV remote fixed.

As for the service elsewhere on the ship, the poolside bar service was very slow and some of the waiters were even rude. We had difficulty communicating with several as there English was poor at best. One waiter in the restaurant would not respond to our request for mixed drinks when we sat down for dinner. He told us he would get our drinks later but later never came. The same waiter, when asked by another guest at our table, for drawn butter for the lobster walked of muttering under he breath like the guest was out of line making such a request. Finally, the food was a major disappointment. I would rate it fair at best.
