Ok, so before doing this I had always had a fascination with cruising. Being from the north (Minnesota, ha), we (my brother and our room mate) don't really have many opportunities to try things like this and everything has to be planned to the absolute "T" if you really want it. I did ALOT of research before settling on this particular cruise, trying to fit everything into our budget (which is about the size of a peanut, heh). With all that said, I have to say that this cruise was the best vacation any of us has ever had. We felt so pampered and really appreciated the whole time. The crew always practically tripped over themselves to make sure you were having a good time. It felt awesome, as we all worked like dogs at our jobs to afford this, lol. Ok, so we flew in from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Orlando the day before and stayed at Radisson's Resort at the Port in Port Canaveral. Although it's huge and was a bit confusing trying to find our rooms (we had to even be given map, haha!), I do recommend this place to stay, it was very nice and theres a shuttle that takes you right to the pier, which is only a couple miles away (you can even see the tops of the cruise ships from the upper floors!). We arranged with cocoa beach shuttles to take us from and to the airport, which worked out nicely.

The ship:

Checking in, etc. didn't take long at all and we were on the ship by about 11:00am or so. Our rooms were'nt ready till 1:30 so we killed time walking around and eating lunch at the windjammer buffet. The food there ranged from ok to really good. There was never a bad experience. There were alot of choices to choose from, too. Being this was our first cruise, we were in awe with all that is available for you to do and how beautiful the whole ship was. We departed Port Canaveral around 4:00pm.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Very nice stateroom! The balcony rooms are awesome, we will never stray to anything less. The room itself was clean, ok with space (though we did kind of have to awkwardly walk over the corner of the bed to get to the balcony), the beds very comfortable. We had three people in our room so my brother slept on the couch which converted to a bed (our housekeeper fixed it up nicely every night at like 5ish). We did have one issue of the toilet not flushing for a couple minutes but the problem fixed itself. No sewage smell like some cruisers complain about, although as you walked down near deck 3, you could smell a small waft every now and then. This room is near the aft, so it's a pretty far walk down the hallway but your nights are quiet because of this! :) Except for this weird bumpy sensation on the first night that i think was from the engine, we slept like babies. The bathroom is small but from reading previous reviews, I was warned and ready. The shower is also very small so be prepared to dance with the shower curtain, lol. It actually didn't end up being too bad, though. My brother is over 6 feet tall and he said it was manageable. Over all, if you don't mind the long walk down the hall and appreciate quiet nights, this room may be for you. :)
