Myself and partner embarked on a two week cruise on the adonia. Having cruised before with p&o on the azura we felt we were in for a treat how wrong were we. 1 very poor food in main restaurant no silver service ordered steak came up with grilled toms, peas and McDonald's skinney chips. There are 4 black tie events we we choose not to attend personal choice so looked at alternative choice to eat was'nt any were told we could order room service, where in the cabin can two people sit down and eat there is'nt anywhere so had to pay to eat in sorrentoes did not mind paying the five pound cover charge as food was 1stclass but out of principal the service and food you got in sorrentoes should be the same offered in all the eating places on board.

The destinations which we visited were either very good but not long enough or to long with not very much to do. I understand the ship was mostly made up of over 65 years in age but myself and quite a few others were made up of 50/55? The entertainment of a day was quite poor and so for the evening. In andersons bar there was a piano player whose volume could not exceed 1 because of the element of elderly passengers what about the other age groups? I myself spoke to a lot of different passengers who also thought the whole ship had a very sombre atmosphere.

In the end myself and partner took the decision to leave the ship in Lisbon and travel home by train because we could not endure a 3 day trip home in bad weather with nothing to do but sit in a cabin.
