We had a wonderful cruise from Tokyo to Hong Kong on the Celebrity Millennium. It met and in some cases exceeded our expectations of the cruise. Having read a fair few of the reviews, while we did notice some of the challenges mentioned, for us, any negatives were so few as they didn't distract us from our lovely holiday.

We had one of the "sweet 16" cabins where the balcony is about double the normal size. We didn't realise this until after we booked the cabin and therefore were surprised, especially given the overall cost of the cruise, that we had such a nice balcony. While the ship was overhauled in 2012, a lot of the main decor in the cabins and the rest of the ship did feel slightly dated and things were a little worn in the cabins, but all very acceptable.

The staff were very friendly and while we read the Celebrity had reduced the Entertainment staff recently, we found Manuel, Taylor and DJ Rockstar to be wonderfully funny and entertaining as we aren't sure what we would have gotten with more staff. We found the bar service to be attentive and not obtrusive. Even though lots of people have an inclusive drinks package we didn't find any issues with getting decent service. Read more
