This was our fifth cruise, second with Thomson but first on the Dream. Six weeks ago we were on the NCL Epic so the contrast in size was very noticeable but actually quite refreshing. Although Dream is nearly thirty years old, it is well-maintained and the facilities well laid out and close together..
Another first for us was having an inside cabin. It was not large but manageable and we were not in it much during the day. We thought we might find it claustrophobic but it was not a problem and at night we left the television switched to the bridgecam channel so we could see when daylight dawned.
Embarcation was swift. We booked ‘cruise only’, arrived at Malaga port at 10.30 a.m. and we were on board by 10.45 – an early lunch and we had the afternoon to walk back and explore the city. Leaving the ship at the end of the cruise was equally smooth.
Well maintained cabin. Plenty of lights. Comfortable bed. Plenty of wardrobe space. Reasonable sized bathroom with powerful shower.
