First let me start with cruise vacations. Out of 11 cruises, 8 with Carnival and 3 with other cruise lines Carnival is hands down great for us as I have a few to compare. My last cruise (11/3/14) was on the Carnival Fascination and it was great. The ship is older and clean as a whistle. The food was good and service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and peppy. Always smiling and full of personality. I went on my "girls only" cruise two weeks before with another cruise line and it was a train wreck. Checking in unfortunately I did not have my passport....I had my friend's. The staff assured us on my verge of a melt down they would do everything possible to resolve the problem. They escorted us to an area to help. Several staff members came over and gave me a little pat to ensure it will work out. Ended up taking about 30 minutes for my husband to contact vital statistic in our home state and a fax copy of my birth certificate was acceptable....We were guided right over to the check-in and within 10 minutes we were in our room. Was that our only hiccup on the entire trip? No and you will not believe this but I swear it happened. My husband placed his shoes on top of the closet and one flip flop fell between the wall and closet. There was no way he could get to it but mentioned it to our steward before we got off the ship in Nassau and when we came back his missing flip flop was sitting next to the other. Not sure how they got it out but that alone gave Carnival another gold star along with my gold pin. It was last minute trip to the Bahamas for 5 days (interior cabin) $501 for both of us. What what...that's what I said. Short and sweet with two stops in Nassau, Little Stirrup Cay and two days at sea. As far as entertainment, we've seen the shows and nearly all are the same on every cruise line. We like to play cards with our travel companions and the Fascination has plenty of areas to park and play. Getting off the ship was a breeze. We will probably take the next cruise out of Puerto Rico to the Southern Caribbean trip but for a fast get away out of Jacksonville this cruise was very relaxing and fun. BTW the Carnival Cruise to Alaska was awesome too. Take the first one of the season in May and be prepared to have a great time, I highly recommend booking a balcony stateroom. Room service for hot chocolate 24/7 and no charge unlike other lines that charge after 11 pm...as stated before, I like Carnival and have never been disappointed. Cruises are not the only vacations we take but unpacking once is a vacation non-stop.

Cabin 4E

I liked this deck as it ran the length of the ship making it easy to navigate and the interior cabin had plenty of room. The temperature in the cabin was perfect, I like it cold and enjoyed using the cozy robes.
