Cabin: Spa Balcony

We are frequent cruisers with many different ships and found the Epic to be a mixed bag. We chose a spa mini suite and immediately we realized that we made a mistake by booking this cabin. It was too small, including the bed. We are not tall people, and found our feet dangling over the end of the bed. There is no bathroom, but a toilet closet and a tub or shower in the entryway. This area is separated from the bedroom by a curtain, and the sink is in the bedroom area. Very bizarre set up, and cramped. There is much storage, though.

The plus with this spa cabin is the access to the Mandara spa. The thalassotherapy pool is wonderful, as are the heated tile chaise loungers and the daybeds outside on the aft facing balcony. There are also saunas and scented steam rooms. We visited the spa daily and it was never crowded. The exercise room is enormous, with tons of machines.

There is no big "wow" factor from an atrium that you would expect on a ship of this size. Instead, the ship is built around a huge casino. If you like gambling, you will be very happy here. However, you have to walk through the casino to get to a lot, and if smoking is and issue, you may not be happy.
