This was not my first trip with Celebrity nor will it be my last. There were four of us on this trip and we thought the transatlantic would give us the best of both worlds, excursions and sea days. Having sailed on many ship prior the sea days were seen as a chance to rest while perhaps taking in some interesting activities. A typical day started with breakfast in the dining room as we like to sit and enjoy a calm start to the day. Not a chance. First the tables were so close to each other (often less than 6 inches that for all intensive purposes we were siting with other couples something we did not want. It seemed there was always something missing from the table and orders were hit and miss. Instead of a relaxing breakfast we felt ignored and then rushed to get us out. If people wish and enjoy sharing a table good for them...it just isn't my cup of tea. The evening meal was much better. Fabrina did her best to get us a table served by Nixon (waiter) and Emilio (assistant waiter). These two gentlemen were the highlight of the trip. We were supposed to be provided with an email address to provide feedback but like many things it didn't appear. Nixon and Emilio are, in my opinion, the best waiters I have ever had the pleasure of dining with. Exceptional, exceptional, exceptional.

The entertainment was focussed to much on signing and dancing and they were good but I would have liked more variety. Like all ships people, despite messages to the contrary held seats. On Princess and on Norwegian there were people on staff to watch for and eliminate this. It is unfair...come early or take your chances. The excursion process was a nightmare.....instead of assigning each tour a specific row to sit in the excursion crew spent more time complaining about people standing and blocking the exit. We know that they want to get the first seat on the bus but forget it.....half the group went down before their number was called......such is life but Celebrity it is time to take control of this...before the person in charge has a breakdown on stage...sorry but I am on holidays and I don't want to hear about his problems.

The lunch menu in the dining room was mediocre to say the least....the hamburgers were much better in other venues. In the end we began to eat breakfast and lunch at the buffet...another tale of frustration. The buffet on any ship I have ever been on is busy to say the least. Looking for a table was equally frustrating. You have the usual single person sitting at a table for four deciding to read or the seven table of people playing cards. I checked there was an empty card room. Why does Celebrity not move these people on....again no control.

Concierge Class 2

The room was fine. I liked the larger bath room and I never felt crowded.
