I just got off the Breakaway yesterday and wanted to write a review while everything was fresh in my mind. First off I am a loyal NCL customer and have been on at least 6 other cruises with them, but I have sailed other lines too. I typically prefer the smaller ships, however, I picked the Breakaway because I was intrigued by the studio suites when we sailed on the Epic in the past.

I had an opportunity to sail with a group of women this time, leaving my husband at home, so I thought a studio was the way to go.

A few weeks before our sail date our cruise consultant, Mike Davila (very helpful and friendly) was able to upgrade me to a mini suite. I was very appreciative, however found the Breakaway's mini suite to be much smaller than I am used to on other ships. The balcony was also small and would have been a bit uncomfortable if I had been sharing a room with a companion.
