Our third trip on Allure was the best ever. To celebrate my 50th birthday my wife and I had a balcony room on deck 9 starboard side. We traveled with 21 friends and family members who all had rooms in the same area of the ship as us. In fact we had 5 balcony rooms together and were able to open up all of the dividers between balconies and make one big balcony out of it. The rest of the group had rooms looking into Central Park.

Many of the group were on their first cruise so of course they were blown away by the size of the ship. We booked this ship because there is so much to do and see on board and of course the entertainment is the best on any ship sailing. Chicago, Blue Planet, and Oceanaria were fantastic as usual. The Headliners were Abbacadraba you guessed it an ABBA tribute band that were great. The theatre was packed full of disco enthusiasts as they sang and cracked old jokes. The ice show was much improved and the comedians were very funny.

The food and service on board were exceptional as always. I really must say I hear people complain that service levels have gone down on cruise ships lately but not on this Royal ship. The menu at dinner has a great variety to choose from. The Hot dog stand and Park Cafe are not to be missed at lunch time. And of course we loved the character breakfast Monday morning. Unfortunately they have started charging for this (come on RCC give us a break) but we had booked early so it was complimentary.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D7

Great view at embarkation, sunrises, sunsets, and especially in port. No noise. We were able to take partitions down and make a grand balcony out of 5 staterooms together in our group.
