Where to start?  Let me start off by saying this ship is incredible. It met my expectations in every way. I have always been a Royal Caribbean traveler. I went on the Explorer of the Seas when it first came out, the Freedom of the Seas a couple of years ago, and now the Allure. I had a wonderful time on each ship. Aside from the Allure being much larger, it reminded me a lot of the Freedom. The layout of most Royal Caribbean ships are pretty much the same, making it easy to navigate from one ship to another. So, let's start the review.

Rooms: Since I have a mobility disability, we booked a handicap accessible Junior Suite on deck 14. We stayed in rm 14254. The one complaint I have about these rooms is that they are right below the lido pool deck. You WILL hear running around. This mostly happens around 7:00am and is random throughout the day. In no means did this make our stay less enjoyable! We would stay in that room again. On a ship of 6,000 passengers, you're bound to hear noise. The fun thing was when the pool area would play music throughout the day, we could open our balcony and listen. The room was much larger in comparison to an oceanview balcony. It was 390 sq ft and a double 108 sq ft balcony. We had a huge walk-in closet and the room was big enough for me to actually ride the scooter in. Our stateroom attendant, Emmanuel, was great. Immediately brought what we requested and always had a helpful smile on his face. Room was clean every morning and before bed.

Entertainment: A+++. This ship has it all. From entertainment for children to adults. We saw Chicago the first night. The aqua sow, OceanAria the second, the headliner show, which was our favorite, a Madagascar aqua show, Blue Planet show, and the ice skating show. All were wonderful. There is always live music being played somewhere on the ship during the evening hours. We enjoyed listening the concerts in Central Park. But, there really is something for everyone. There are dance clubs, jazz music, big band music, piano, Latin, rock and roll, strings quartets. I will say you NEED TO MAKE RESERVATIONS PRIOR TO LEAVING FOR YOUR CRUISE FOR THE SHOWS! Many shows were booked and were stand-by room only once everyone that had a reservation was seated. Do not wait until you're on the cruise to book.
