We were pleasantly surprised as we boarded the Sun. The welcome aboard party was very good and the ship was very nice. Our oceanview stateroom was small but quite functional.

We found the entertainment on the ship to be good. The food was plentiful and was the menu consisted of common items that mainstream Americans would find comfortable. While it was always cooked well, we found it rather bland and tasteless.

Others have written that the buffet seems crowded. We believe some of this is due to silly layouts. For example, when getting drinks, most guests will get a glass then ice then their drink. The lines were arranged so that guests passed glasses then drinks then ice. Guests kept circling while going through the line, slowing everything down. Read more
