We had a wonderful experience on our River Cruise. The entire staff on board was accommodating, friendly, helpful and available. The service was excellent. Each meal was delicious and expertly served. Cabin service was excellent as well. The cruise director, Juta, went out of her way to ensure that we had a wonderful time. She was informative, patient, honest and friendly. The entire staff seem to work flawlessly. The shore excursions were excellent and the local guides informative and helpful.

The only "negative" that I have is that the staterooms and bathrooms are a bit on the small size and there is not enough storage in the regular sized rooms. It also would be great if there was another public space on the ship other than the lounge and upper deck (it was too cold to go up there on most days!) for people to talk, play games and read. Having laundry done by the staff was extremely expensive and we wound up washing some items in the very small sink. Having a laundry room for passengers to use (coin operated) would be extremely helpful. Other than that, the Viking cruise was exceptional and wonderful. We have already booked a voyage on the Star in July of 2016 for a Baltic Cruise and would like to explore other River Cruises in Europe as well.

Cabin Review

As I noted above. The stateroom and bathroom are very small. There was not enough storage for a week's worth of clothing. Cabin service and cleaning was excellent. We just needed more room!
