The first thing that you notice about the Epic, is that it is a big,big ship. When you are in the lower levels, you would not know you are on a ship. It is more like being at a resort. We thought we would miss not having production shows, but we did not. There is so much entertainment going on that you do not miss them. The "Blue Man Group" and "Legends in Concert" were outstanding. We felt that some of the singers were better than the originals. The comedian Bud Anderson was hilarious and the "Supreme Dreamgirls" were incredible.

The Garden Cafe Buffet was the best buffet we have experienced on a cruise. This was our fourth transatlantic and we have been on 21 cruises. There are two main dining rooms. We preferred the Taste dining room. It reminded you of a wine cellar and was very charming. The food was excellent and the menu gave a large selection of choices.

We liked the design of the cabins. I wish more ships had separate shower and bath areas. Our shower was huge. It could have been three feet smaller and still been larger than showers on most cruise ships. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very quite at night. Interesting enough there is a deck 13 on the ship.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MD

Nice cabin with an adequate covered balcony. No one could look down at you on your balcony like on some other cruise lines. The separate shower, commode area, and sink were a plus. We liked the layout. Just leave the light off in the commode area. It is not necessary to be on. We had the couch near the balcony and feel that it would be better to have a room with the couch near the bathroom area. That would give you more room in that area when you are getting dressed. There was plenty of closet space but surprisingly only one closet had hangers. We always bring extra hangers, so it worked out for us. There are plenty of storage areas and a huge medicine cabinet above the sink.
