I would like to begin this review stating that this was our(my husband and myself) first trip on Princess Cruise Line. We have sailed 9 times on Royal Caribbean and once on Norwegian. Embarkation was very smooth and we were able to access our cabin when we got on the ship which was around 12:30 pm. We found our cabin to be a nice size with ample closet and drawer space. There also were several shelves in the area where the safe was that held a good bit of clothing. The closet was apart from the main cabin area, adjacent to the bathroom, which made it seem as though it was a separate room. We liked this very much. The bathroom shower however, was not a good experience. It was not only smaller that we've had before, but the configuration made it very awkward to use. I realize that all cruise ship showers are small but this was just not well designed. And the shower curtain wasn't effective as water kept leaking out to the bathroom floor. I read years ago on cruise critic that clothespins with the spring clip attached to the bottom of the shower curtain help to keep it from moving inward and attacking you. It worked somewhat, but not enough to keep the water in or the curtain from hugging us while we showered! All cruise lines should follow Royal Caribbean's idea of having a shower door instead of a curtain. Yes, the shower is still small but with the rounded door, it gives the area a little more space.

We did have a wonderful cabin attendant, Morvin, who in our opinion, was very efficient without being intrusive. A very soft spoken man & well mannered, who did a terrific job of keeping our cabin in order and kept us in clean towels our entire trip. Can say enough nice things about this man.

We had early seating(5:30) in Provance dining room. Our waiters were Alex and Oliver. Very nice and polite, but we just didn't feel the connection that we usually have with our waiters, especially on a longer cruise like this one. Food was good, nothing remarkable.....we did, however, think the lobster served on the second formal night wasn't good at all. We always look forward to this dinner but no need for seconds this time!
