We enjoyed our cruise, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to anybody. The musical shows were not very impressive. The dancing good, the singing fair at best. They relied too much on the electronic screen, instead of finding some talent. The comedy shows were subpar. The one comedian-(wish I had his name) was AWFUL! I'm sure Darnell can figure out who it is-big, white guy, second half of the Nov2-9 cruise. On the night we saw him he based his routine on picking on a 9 year old kid! What the heck is wrong with him! He berated the parents for having the child on a cruise rather than in school- great way to drum up business for Carnival! He wasn't funny-he was cruel, a bully-an adult taking cheap shots at a CHILD! We left as did several others. I waited in the lobby for the show to finish and approached the young man. I told him to forget everything the bully had said, and to know that he is far more mature than the 'adult' was. That comedian is my biggest complaint. Mike-the activity director was a hoot! He got everybody involved, kept things fun, exciting and fast paced. Our stewardess-Ana, was a hard working, friendly, and efficient woman. She was so pleasant and greeted us every time she saw us. We enjoyed the towel folding class, but this would have been a great time to use their fancy big screen or even the smaller screens. It would have made it far easier to figure out what we were supposed to be doing. The mini golf course was sad, carpet pealing up, the shuffle board was impossible to play-the lines for the grid were more like speed bumps that caused the disc to jump, it wasn't waxed and smooth at all. I was also curious as to why all officers are Italian. Tradition? Who cares about 'tradition', maybe instead make a tradition of promoting ANYBODY who earns it-regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or nationality! All in all, it was a good experience, but I wasn't awed.
Very nice room, only issue was hearing the neighbors young baby cry EVERY SINGLE night.
