Sail Date: Nov 2014

We booked this cruise close to sail date of Nov 09 2014 looking for a relaxing sun vacation. Having done a cruise to the Baltics earlier in the year, this was a vacation meant to relax, unwind and enjoy the warm climate. Our first time on Princess, we took advantage of the transfers offered. We flew in on embarkation day and were met by Princess reps. They were great and while we had a short wait we were soon on the bus and at the port. Embarkation was the usual, sit, wait, move to new area, sit, wait and then board ship

Due to the climate of this cruise, we knew we would be on deck a lot so we decided to try an inside cabin. While small and compact, we found the room fine although sometimes at night a bit stuffy. Our steward, Songrha, was awesome, friendly and really speedy. The one complaint was no area to sit other than the vanity chair.

We only went to the dining room twice due to unsatisfactory seating. We booked Anytime Dining. Princess does not handle this as well as some of her competitor lines. Both times we asked for a table for 2. The first time we were put at a table for 6 with two other couples The second time we were put at a table for 2 right behind the server station. As for formal night, Princess does "Formal" while other lines just have "Dress Up" night. We prefer the latter as formal attire takes up too much weight in luggage. We ended up eating a lot in the buffet at dinner time. The food and the choices were good. We chose to sit in the aft area of the buffet, the atmosphere and staff made us feel we were in a dining room except with the added bonus of an awesome view. Monnseratt was our server and she was great and anticipated any of our needs. We had pizza at Alfredo's a few times. We tried different ones and each was as good as the next. The staff does a great job and while one is eating, the entertainment in the Atrium can be enjoyed as well. I noticed some passengers picked up salad and dessert from the coffee bar to add to their pizza dinner.

Cabin Review

Cabin I

The cabin was small and compact. At times a bit stuffy at night. Would take a small fan next time. Due to this itinerary one is not in the cabin much.
