Where to start? Let's start at the port in Tampa at terminal 2. Unorganized! Mass chaos. We were first in the door at the port. The passengers disembarked late because of the port authority in Tampa. The port employees were all new and did not have any check in training. As a crown and anchor member, we had no priority on boarding and it was a mass entrance onto the ship. Our sea pass pictures were not taken at check in and we had to do it boarding the ship. Chaotic. Lines were getting longer and longer. We were allowed on the ship around 11:30ish. We could not get into the room until almost 2 pm! People were ticked who had luggage and carry on items. We were one of them. The ship gave us the wrong room and had us at the wrong dinner times. We were upgraded to a better room with a panoramic view on deck 8. We were very happy about that and we did get a 5:30 dinner at a window table with just our family. That was great. But, our room attendant never vacuumed our room all week long and there were industrial staples on the carpet and small wires too. Very strange. The last cruiser had left their Blistex on the floor next to the bed, obviously the room attendant does not do a thorough job. There was a huge smear on the wall and tv that was never cleaned and I finally cleaned it on thanksgiving. I couldn't take it anymore. Our servers in the dining room, Wendell and Mario were fantastic. That's the positive. Now, we had horrible service in the Centrum on deck 4. We are still waiting for our drinks. The talent on the ship is high school caliber. The costumes look second hand and worn with bad wigs. Bad lip syncing on all of the dancers. Bad arrangements for the songs on Broadway night! Horrible! Everyone looked inexperienced. Voices need training. Facial expressions were not engaging. They seemed to be entertaining themselves. Very boring. The only great act was Scott Record from Vegas who was a professional! Now, he was hilarious and engaging and the best. Great music impressionist and singer and comedian! Would pay to see him in Vegas! The Windjammer ran out of silverware and napkins at port days. Food was the same everyday and was blah and bland. Nothing exciting at all. No chocolate milk in windjammer either. If you ask, you will get hot chocolate. Very frustrating. The dining room at lunch ran out of food too. The main dining room ran out of food for the 2nd seating too. Service around the ship was not attentive. Oh, and the smoking was horrible! The smoke from the casino went into the Masquerade theater and up to deck 8! It was awful!!!!! The employees did not feel like telling people where to smoke in the casino. It should be all non smoking since the ship is incredibly small! We had found a piece of plastic in a dessert at dinner. We were given a bottle of wine, but it should have been a bottle that we liked and not what they wanted to give. Paul Rudder, cruise director, was kinda bland. He seemed nice, but definitely for an older geriatric crowd. It was just flat affect to us. The vibe on the ship was strange from beginning to end! Magic Marvin seems like a stripper who is self centered. Yes, he has high energy but never remembers a face all week long! It's like he is there but not for you, only for his self gratification. The 50-60's night was a huge FLOP!!!! People were so bored on this ship that they were going to bed early. Kids were running around like crazy with no adult supervision. Teens everywhere. This cruise was on the list where kids sail free. That explained it too. The singer in the centrum never got off her chair to sing and was boring. She needs voice training too. All of the musicians need a larger music selection. It was like a broken record all week long, day and night, the same songs! BORING! !!!!! We have been cruising with RC since 2006 and we have never written a bad review! I would not recommend this ship unless the management reviews and retrains and hires great entertainment and gets better food. We did speak to the front desk manager, Alfredo and we did receive a 25% off our current cruise to be applied to a future cruise. That's great, but we did not pay a lot for this cruise, thank God. But, it was very nice that we received it. We just want management to know how the Vision is a turn off. We talked with a lot of passengers and about 85% of the ship was very unhappy! !!! That's huge. But, we were recommending Freedom of the Seas for passengers who said that they would never cruise with RC again. I want RC to take this seriously and make drastic changes. Even the employees ,who will remain nameless, did not get the ship they wanted and were put on Vision. They were not happy either but were trying to smile through it. We talked to a lot of people because there was nothing really to do on the ship. Leaving the ship was crazy too! Tampa port was slow in letting us off. Majority of people did not trust RC with their luggage at all and they carried their bags off. The lines were so long and unorganized getting off of the ship. One employee was afraid to tell people to make 2 lines and gave up because he felt that no one would listen. It was aggravating! There were several passengers whose luggage never made it on the Vision, but made it on the Brilliance at a different terminal. Still trying to figure that one out! Thanksgiving day we did not go to Grand Cayman due to the weather, which happens, and everyone was given the port and tax credit on their sea pass. That was good. But, the staff was not prepared to entertain the ship that day. They had to scramble and come up with things to do and print a new compass. That was ridiculous.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin F

The room had a king bed, 2 night stands, flat screen tv, couch that can convert to 2 beds and a large panoramic window with a great view. Nice closets. Downfall is a shower curtain and not a shower door. The entire ship has shower curtains. The curtain will stick to you at times. Floor never vacuumed.
