The cruise, like all Viking cruises I've taken, was perfect, with helpful staff, informative and fun tours, and great food. However, I was disappointed in the size of the boat. I thought a smaller boat would be OK, but I felt like I saw the same faces everyplace I went. It was impossible to find a quiet space for reading or reflecting -- unless I stayed in the room, which was too small to be really comfortable. Extroverts would not mind having people around all the time, I'm sure, but for anyone who values quiet time, the ship was inadequate. It would have been much better if there was an accessible outdoor deck that did not require climbing rather steep stairs.

I know you will be replacing this boat with a larger one, but I almost feel like this particular boat was not a good value.

I have been so pleased with other Viking cruises I've taken that I'm fairly sure I will give Viking another chance to live up to the expectations the cruise line itself has created in its customers.
