We have been on one or two cruises a year since 1997. We have only sailed with RCCL. We had been on Liberty several times and an opportunity came up for us to go on Indy, so we gave it a try. We didn't care for the fact that we had to drive to the dock, drop off the bags, drive to the parking garage, get on a shuttle and drive back to the ship once again. It all went well , but took some extra time. We are Diamond plus members and also booked the Royal Suite on this trip. Check in is always very swift with these perks as you get into shorter lines. This time it took a bit longer as the concierge came down to escort us to the room. His name is Butcher Gustavo, "butcher", and is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The room was impressive but more on that in the "Cabin Review". The ship was very clean and never seemed too crowded. All the bar attendants and servers were friendly and attentive. I asked why they could not put a garnish on the cocktails while we were in port and was told it had something to do with being fined for serving "food" in an area not designated for food service. I don't recall this happening when were on Allure out of Fort Lauderdale earlier this year so maybe it's jus a new rule. A lot of people knock the food in the main dining room, but I think they do a wonderful job considering the volume that goes through. The breads and deserts are outstanding. We ate at Chops a couple of nights, and the food, service, and staff were better than outstanding.

The week of shows had a nice variety from the comedian, magician, and RC singers and dancers. All were very entertaining.

We had been to the ports of Grand Cayman, Falmouth, and Labadee many times before, but this time we got the cabana on the beach which was very nice and comfortable. The attendant arranged for a cart to take my wife shopping and brought her back when she was done. They serve a nice lunch of strip steak and large shrimp, as well as the burgers, dogs and ribs. The salads are good too. The only thing I was bothered about was the large amount of flies landing on all the deserts. They should get a fan or something to keep them off - it was a bit unappetizing.
