This was my second cruise on the Silhouette ... and the experience/ship were much better than our first...just after the ship went into service a couple of years ago. The Silhouette ...like so many others ...is beautiful, with attractive interiors and spacious outside deck areas. The food/service was standard hotel-type fare but MUCH BETTER than the bad experiences we had on the Norwegian Epic transatlantic just a few weeks earlier. (review also posted on C.C.).
Three problems remain with the Silhouette ... and they're pretty serious for me. This ship has the slowest Internet on 35 cruises I've done (even worse than the Epic...which I thought was impossible) even though Silhouette has HALF the passengers of the Epic. Complaints were met with extra minutes...but what use are they, if it takes ages to even read/write simple e-mails...let alone download any pages!
Another really annoying problem was choppy, broken up, total loss of television signals ... not just at Grand Cayman, where connections are often bad, but for DAYS after, even as we got quite close to the Bahamas and Florida! Try watching a football game ...or anything else ... like that! Terrible experience.
