Have cruised for many years and have done 6 previous cruises on various Thomson ships inc Destiny , Spirit and Celebration. Have always found the friendly staff and amazing service to be the best selling points. Not any more!!

It is obvious that Thomsons are cutting costs massively. The food was truly awful and thrown at you at break neck speed . The waiters could not wait to clear the dining room and never attempted to engage with any of the passengers, Most nights we had our 5 courses thrown at us within 40 minutes of being seated. Untouched plates of food were never questioned by any dining room staff and simply scrapes away into a bin. Saald nicoise was a plate of lettuce with one olive one teaspoon of tuna and a slice of boiled egg! Parfait / pate was served in various flavours as an appetiser every night, the only veg served all week was 3 slices of carrot and one floret of broccoli with every single main course!

Lunchtime self service was same every day served luke warm by the same miserable staff. The Maitre D seemed to think that the way to resolve any issues in the dining room was a complimentary glass of cheap fizz1 Dont dare ask for a table for 2 as this is highly frowned upon by the head waiter at Seven Seas restaurant ; he growls at you and orders you to take a seat and wait!

Cabin Review

Tiny cabin, no space to push twin beds together
