We are a couple in our late 60's and enjoy cruising. This was our 8th cruise on RC We selected the Vision for the itinerary. We flew to Tampa the morning of the cruise. Cruises consist of three phases: Embarkation, the ship and cruise experience and disembarkation. Overall this was a very relaxing cruise
First embarkation was the worst ever, about one and a half hours to get on the ship. Royal Caribbean's terminal is #3 however if there are two RC ships in port as was the case on our cruise they also use terminal #2. If you have priority boarding you wait in line with everyone else until you get upstairs where you get your boarding pass. Enough said on this, was not a pleasant start.
A cruise is what you make of it and what your expectations are. There is no perfect ship or cruise and there will probably be some minor issues but if you are polite and respectful to the staff they will take care of you. I have read many reviews of this ship and recent sailings and the critical comments are not justified. The ship is in excellent condition and the food is on par with all of the RC ships we have sailed on (8 others). The service was very good and we never had a problem getting a drink as many have alluded to. The entertainment is ok at best, not outstanding. Steve the cruise director was excellent and very high energy.
Excellent location, some noise from the Centrum and above but not a problem. Smaller JS than other ships but more than adequate
