My husband, son, daughter in law and I booked the cruise about 8 months before departure. We did not get the room we booked. Instead of 2 beds we got 1 bed, a couch and a bed pulled from the ceiling. 3 of the 4 of us are disabled (my son and wife being disabled veterans) and my husband and I are in our 60's and I am disabled. We were told we could split up and get an inside cabin at an additional cost. We found that unacceptable as we paid for a suite, not a mini suite, which is what they gave us. Our steward, Renson, did his best to make our room more comfortable, with additional egg crating for the beds. The food was usually cold and not that great, the menus rarely changed. We didn't try the restaurants that charged extra as that was not in our budget. My son was overcharged over $400. on the 1st day, by the end of the cruise it was over 1,000. Trying to get the guest services to correct the problem was a nightmare. We were told the credit would go back on the charge card after we got home. Most of those we talked to did not belong in customer service as they were quite rude. We were not the only ones this happened to, as a number of cruisers were talking about the same thing happening to them. The cabin situation also happened to others, including a gentleman from Canada, who had to crawl on the floor to get in his cabin, since his wheelchair would not fit. Paying extra for shows was also an unexpected expense. We have traveled on another cruise line and that was not done. We were 3 1/2 hrs late getting into our 1st port and couldn't take the tenders in the 2nd port due to the weather, which of course, is not the fault of the cruise line. We were able to enjoy a few hours in Nassau before heading back to the ship. We do plan on going on another cruise, but will look into another cruise line.
