We arrived at the Southampton terminal just as the band started to play Christmas tunes at midday.Cunards new booking procedure worked well for us as we where on board and in our stateroom by 12.20. We had only booked the cruise 6 weeks prior to departure because of the good deals being offered by Cunard. I always book direct with Cunard and wether this had anything to do with it but we where up graded from a P2 to Queens 4 suite.

The stateroom was large and comfortable, we had the services of a butler who quickly introduced himself. We then went to the Queens grill for lunch, more of the food later.

The first 3 days where at sea, the crossing of the Bay of Biscay was a little rough but the ship copied very well.

Cabin Q4

Large cabin, full size shower and an enourmas bath. You get a complimentary 1 liter of spirits each plus soft drinks. Daily canopes every evening.I would say that out particular balcanoy was not to my likely as it was overlooked by a least 2 others due to its location.
