We booked our cruise 2 months ago so did not have a choice of cabins but our Riviera deck 14 balcony cabin was just what we wanted so we had no complaints there. We were near the forward stairs and lifts but never heard any noise from adjoining cabins or corridors. We flew on a new Thomas Cook plane which has wider seats and much more leg room and was very comfortable on the outward journey but as the seats don't recline it was difficult to sleep on the return. You also have to pay for all your drinks apart from tea, coffee and squash, and the TV films are limited unless you pay for a film upgrade. The films are the same for the return journey too so make sure you save something to watch on the return home.

Embarkation was quick and easy and we were on the ship in minutes.

The entertainment on the ship was the usual production shows plus cabaret entertainers. We've seen all the shows and some of the entertainers so many times we feel we are word perfect. Why can't the shows be changed more often or each ship have their own shows? We saw all of them on the Arcadia last year. and on other ships. If P&O are going to keep employing the same comedians they should at least insist that they change their jokes. It's very lazy to keep using the same material. Even the crossword puzzles in the library were the same as the Arcadia.

Cabin Review

Outside Twin with Shower

Cabin LC

Usual balcony cabin on deck 14. Quiet location near the front lifts and stairs and only one deck below the self service restaurant and Lido deck and pools. Plenty of hanging and drawer space. The safe is easy to get to and use. The cabin was clean and well looked after with attractive pictures on the walls. Only complaint is that the TV controlls don't work unless you're stood right up to the TV so you can't change channels while in bed.
