This is our second cruise with Carnival. Our first was with Carnival Victory a few years ago. We were so happy our first cruise that we didn't have any second thoughts about booking another cruise with the Carnival.

Booking online was and always easy. The annoying part is, every time you access Carnival's website with your account signed-in, prepare yourself that you will get a call from one of Carnival's customer representatives in a few minutes or within the day that you accessed their site.

Cabin Review

Balcony

The wall colors are just dull, even the design and paintings on the wall are bland. The green color in the bathroom didn't add life. It was too boring. The room did feel a cheap due to the colors. The curtains didn't smell washed and heavy with dust. Carnival added another bed adjacent to the bathroom since there's 3 of us in the room. By the other wall there is a scone and it is located quite low. It serves as a reading light but it can be annoying when your head hits it especially when you move in your sleep. The main bed was queen-sized and it is a bit pushed to the window area so there is little room for you to get in and out off the bed at the window-side. The beds are okay. They're not plushy but good for sleeping. The pillows are a bit hard as well. The balcony is a nice feature but some smokers don't really care about the boat's policy of not smoking in the balcony so prepare yourself to smell cigarette smoke from the balcony, or if you're lucky like us, we smelt strong cigar fumes almost every day. The dividers don't really provide privacy. You can hear what people next door are talking about. You can even peep through the dividers. When people drag their balcony chairs around 2 in the morning, you can hear it from your room, even if the balcony door is closed. You can hear people walking in the hallway, feel the floor bounce when kids are running. You can even hear your next door neighbors talking. The room is not really sound proof, so if you're a light sleeper, be prepared to be awoken a lot of times when you're on this ship.We particularly enjoyed hearing the woman next door buttering her toast at 4:30am on the day of departure while she sat on her deck. And every morning at 2, she would have her cigar break and threw away all the ash and butts on the sea so there is no evidence that she was smoking in her balcony. Add the re-arranging of her balcony chairs and table to the daily morning wake-up.There are lots of storage space inside the room. Under the single bed, there are 2 drawers. Under the main bed, you can store your luggages. The closet is quite spacious but not too many hangers. There are plenty of drawers for your clothes. The bathroom is quite small. The shower curtain doesn't really help in keeping the water from getting outside. We've always managed to flood our bathroom but that is what towels are for. There are plenty of storage space to store lotions and potions by the mirror. They situated the magnifying mirror too high and you cannot adjust the height so for small people, you can't use it unless you have a very good eyesight to pluck or shave hair.
