We only booked this cruise about ten days before we sailed because: a) it was a great price and b) it included ports we had not been to before, so it was a win win before we'd even set sail!
The transfer from Venice Airport to the port was smooth and efficient, as was check in. But whilst waiting for our number to be called to board, we were already hearing people complaining!). I think it was about restaurants being booked up. Lighten up people, you're holiday hasn't even started yet!!!
Once on board we dropped our hand luggage in our stateroom and went to have some lunch in the buffet, which was excellent. Our cases arrived mid afternoon, and after unpacking, we headed on deck to take in the amazing views as we sailed out of Venice.
Cabin Review
Balcony
Plenty of storage space. (Tip: in the wardrobe, there's a little light switch behind the clothes rail, which makes it easier to see in there!). Bed very comfortable.

Didn't see much of Venice (only during transfer to ship)
Dubrovnik
Lovely port walking around Old City. Very hot and busy, but well worth a visit.
Kusadasi
Not my favourite port, just walked into town and around souks. All selling "genuine" fake watches, clothing etc! Bit of pressure, but just say no thanks and carry on walking if you're not interested.
Split
Lovely port. Fantastic market with the most incredible fruit and veg (sadly not allowed to take any food on board! Would have liked to take home some fresh fruit)
Athens (Piraeus)
We just did the hop on hop off bus to the Coliseum. Very hot and very busy there. Take care when walking, stones are very smooth and slippery.
