There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about our cruise! The ship's staff was incredible! They were all very personable & really helped to make the cruise as wonderful as it was. An example of how great the staff was - we & our 6 new 'met on the cruise friends" were late getting to the dining room for the last night's dinner & there were not 8 seats available together. So it seemed like we wouldn't be able to enjoy our last cruise dinner together. When we told the staff, they set up our own space in the lounge area & brought our dinners to us. Definitely above & beyond & we all will never forget them for that! The food was beyond belief, from the breakfast buffet, with eggs cooked to order, to a gourmet dinner every night. We especially loved the taste of Germany night with the staff dressed in traditional garb with traditional food. Daily excursions were well organized & very informative. Overall, a very exceptional, memorable & delightful experience. We look forward to our next Viking cruise, which will be next year & another the following year. THANK YOU VIKING!!

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

Cabin AA

Loved this cabin. It had lots of space, with the sitting area & the open veranda. I loved sitting outside on the veranda every night after dinner, watching the world go by as we sailed & enjoying the fresh air.

Port Reviews

Amsterdam

The open air boat (as opposed to those with a glass top) was recommended by Viking staff & that's the 1 we took. It was incredible to see all that makes Amsterdam the great city that it is. The architecture & history is amazing.

Amsterdam

Our guide was excellent & gave us great information on restaurants & types of food to try. We enjoyed all the history & trivia of the city.

Amsterdam

A very large museum with all types of art. I especially loved the Rembrandts & Vermeers. Allow lots of time to be able to see it all.

Cologne

Our guide in Cologne was 1 of the best we had on the cruise. She was extremely knowledgeable about the cathedral (really amazing structure!) & obviously enjoyed her job. We had plenty of time in the city so she gave us the name of a place for lunch that she liked (Peter's Brau Haus) which was really good. I also recommend visiting the nutcracker shop (I left quite a few euros lighter after buying presents for folks back home). Loved this stop!

Heidelberg

Really interesting place with the magnificent castle, its history & great views. The town was very interesting; loved the time to just walk around, shop (great chocolate shops!) & eat.

Rudesheim

The town of Rudesheim seemed like a typical tourist stop - lots of people & lots of stores with souvenir type stuff. We went on the optional excursion of dinner at a local restaurant. The entertainment was good but the food was not so good. Staff on the ship warned us that it would be that way & they were certainly correct.
