We've done two other Avalon Cruises and this one was the best. The staff worked harmoniously and gave commendable service. The Cruise Director's preparation and conscientiousness was apparent. The pace of this cruise was good in that we cruised several afternoons and could relax. The itinerary was delightful. It was wonderful seeing smaller German/Dutch towns as tourists tend to migrate to the larger cities.

The accommodations were excellent. The beds were angled so you faced a panoramic view, not a wall. We were on the second deck this cruise. There seemed to be little difference between the upper and second deck views. Cleanliness was outstanding. Our cabin steward did a great job.

The entertainment was of high quality, also. Two nights we enjoyed classical music and two nights provided additional dance music. The on-board pianist was great and provided music nightly. Read more
