On board the Black Watch is like stepping back in time. The decor and fittings are very 1970s although clean, there is no WOW factor anywhere on the ship. This was our first cruise and based our poor experience it could be our last.
The boarding process at the port was one of the worst travel experiences I have had. Hundreds of passengers crammed into a hangar waiting their numbers to be called and we waited for 1hr 50 minutes and were the last to board even though we arrived exactly at the time we were instructed to on our boarding instructions. There was no explanation given just occasional apologies.
So we arrived at our cabin fighting disappointment at our introductory experience with Fred Olsen.
Compact, but noisy air conditioning and dull decor. TV service very poor.
Excellent cleaning and bed making service. hood wardrobe space.
