Our travel agent suggested this cruise and it turned out to be the highlight of our European holiday. The overall cruise package contained everything we could have wanted and was a thorough adventure into Europe's Rhine River region. After a well prepared and variety rich breakfast on board each day we disembarked and were off exploring the many beautiful cities/towns/attractions not limited to the river region. Many choices of half day inland adventures took us to some of the most popular and famous attractions and we never felt as if time was wasted. The local guides utilised by Avalon were informative, entertaining and beyond. We were often given the choice of free time to explore the given area instead of returning on board after our guides have finished.

Ishtan our Cruise Director also went above and beyond his duties often having to bend over backwards to accommodate ours and others fickle demands. He was truly the jewel in the Avalon crown and turned this cruise into the best time of our lives. We will never forget our voyage up the River Rhine and would do it again in a heartbeat.
