Sail Date: Sep 2016
Cabin: Stateroom with French Balcony

It was recommended by 2 family members who travelled in april 2016.The all inclusive nature appealed to us.The various excursions that were included as part of the program gave us value for money. We were very pleased with the crew and the support and assistance they gave at each stop on the trip. The historical sites were lovely and the various wineries were interesting and gave us a greater appreciation of the Rhone valley. Both Avignon and Arles were great stops and were well worth the trip in themselves. We were provided with complimentary room upgrades on day 1 of our voyage which was a very pleasant surprise. I cannot say enough about the staff on board. From captain to first officer on down. Each always seemed to have time to give to passengers. The food was excellent and the chef made a point of dropping by every evening to ask us how we had enjoyed our meal. Once we had a brief critic of a meal and were thanked for bringing it to their attention. As a person who worked in customer service for most of my career I was most impressed from beginning to end. we will return and enjoy AMA again.

Cabin Review

Stateroom with French Balcony

Cabin B

We started our trip on the bottom floor,Which was quite satisfactory. We were asked if we would like to move to the third floor.(this was for 2 upgrades as we were a party of 3).We found the change quite pleasant and would recommend the higher floor if only for the view from our window as we meandered down the river. The cabin was small but more than sufficient. The bathroom and room cleaned every day and any small request was looked after with a smile and promptly.

Port Reviews

Avignon

a beautiful walled city steeped in history. We toured the papal palace which was most interesting and informative

Arles

We really enjoyed Arles and stayed on for another 3 days after leaving the ship

Lyon

we had arrived in Lyon the day before the sailing and had done a tour of the city already. As we wanted to see the museum of cotemporary art we chose to do that instead of a repeat of our previous day sight seeing
