After watching Downton Abbey and seeing the advertising for the Viking Cruises, I was interested:)
We had never been to Europe or on a river cruise. We feel ocean cruising is okay, just SO many people and often public places are so crowded. We decided to try something different.
I researched several cruise lines and talked to several people. I really liked the open window wall in the cabins. The thought of watching from our room was inviting. If activities proved too much we could always watch the scenes go by. Our cabin was very comfortable and had lots of storage/more that we were used to on big boats. The shower was great and the bathroom fine. The ship was kept very clean and up to date. We were a little worried because the Felicity wasn't one of the newer boats but were very happy. The service was great. We had some very serious health issues with a friend and the crew was excellent in helping get to a dock, getting an ambulance, handling the emergency.
Loved the size, wall window and comfortable bed. The storage was wonderful so we could unpack most of our things. Great that we could store our luggage under the bed.
