We have always wanted to try one of the river cruises as it is a much smaller ship and more intimate, and this was the right choice. The ship was great, easy to get around, choice of the main restaurant or the Aquavit Terrace (which we preferred). Great lounge area and loved the sun deck. The captain was very friendly and the cruise was incredibly smooth. Service is spectacular, you feel like royalty. Be prepared are for a lot of walking on the excursions, but well worth it. All of the guides knew their areas and made the trips very enjoyable. Don't go on a river cruise expecting non-stop entertainment, because that isn't what they are all about. There is low key entertainment in the evening, but not what you see on the ocean cruises. Cabins, as expected, are small, but have everything you need. Watch your step when entering the bathroom as there is a step up and in the dark, my husband stubbed his tow pretty bad. We upgraded to the silver service package for beverages and were very glad we did. We told the bartenders (who we all loved) that we were on the package on the first night and they never asked again. Great service!
